Taking the concept of the garage high-tech venture start-up one step further, BUZGate originated in September 2000 out of a converted storage closet with one computer, a modem, some HTML training, and a strong vision. This vision was to establish an environment where all individuals could work synergistically to increase awareness, access and use of the resources they required for their individual and collective professional success.

Born from first-hand experience, BUZGate founders, Dr. William Osgood and Deborah Osgood, successfully built their own entrepreneurial venture by discovering and effectively utilizing available resources ~ the hard way.

Having acquired this business while it was facing bankruptcy following the sudden death of it's original founder, the Osgood's needed to build mutually productive resource relationships pretty fast if the business was to succeed. With a lot of time and perseverance, they discovered a range of free public assistance programs in areas of workforce development, research, and capital equipment acquisition. These resource partnerships ultimately helped the operation to establish profitability, create 50 new jobs, and achieve industry preeminence over a 10-year period.

After selling the business, the Osgood's set out to find a way to share their knowledge with other entrepreneurs. Creating BUZGate became an innovative and unique way to consolidate their knowledge and make it available free to everyone, everywhere, 24/7 via a connection to the Internet. Today, over 100,000 public assistance programs across the country can be discovered, understood and accessed via the BUZGate network. Valuable private sector resources such as small business banking, technologies, legal, accounting and hundreds of other services can also be researched and accessed through BUZGate.
