CONCORD, NH - Start, grow and succeed in business. A collaboration between New Hampshire's Division of Economic Development, the U.S. Small Business Administration and BUZGate.org is bringing the "How To's" for starting, growing and succeeding in business in New Hampshire to the public at large at a free Small Business Resource Clinic being held on Thursday, March 1, 2007 from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm. at the New Hampshire Technical Institute, 31 College Drive, Concord, New Hampshire.

"New Hampshire offers a healthy business climate with a favorable tax structure, accessible and responsive government and exceptional quality of life characteristics," said Deborah Osgood, co-founder and chief architect of BUZGate.org. "This Resource Clinic will deliver the facts behind these representations while also providing all attendees with take-away materials that will help them to connect with people in their local communities that will support their business progress."

The event is free and open to the public and is intended to help anyone interested in pursuing a new business or anyone already in business and looking to expand. Presentations will be interactive prompting audience involvement around the process of navigating the myriad of available free public business assistance programs across the state and how to choose the programs that best suit their particular business needs or interests. Representatives from leading small business assistance agencies will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about programs and resources that address most all aspects of launching or managing a business.

think. create. innovate.

"There are thousands of programs throughout the state that have been specifically created to help our citizens pursue and excel at owning their own business," said New Hampshire Division of Economic Development Director Michael Vlacich. "Whether it's securing funding, taking products to international markets, or connecting with a business mentor that can help take the venture to the next stage, there is a free public program that exists in New Hampshire to support their progress."

The Small Business Resource Clinic is one of several events being held throughout the week in support of EntrepreneurshipWeek USA (The Week), a national effort to raise awareness about entrepreneurship and further engage all members of the community in transforming today's youth into tomorrow's entrepreneurs. Monday is Higher Education Day followed by Primary and Secondary Entrepreneurial Education Day on Tuesday, Entrepreneurial Landscape Day on Wednesday, and the free Small Business Resource Clinic on Thursday. Friday's events will represent a culmination of the full week of activities where New Hampshire's entrepreneurial spirit will be celebrated by a series of events

"Creating valuable programs and resources to support entrepreneurial development and growth today is not enough," said Bill Phillips, District Director U.S. Small Business Administration, NH. "We must work together to make this information available to our youth and those currently in business in ways where it can be understood and used effectively and efficiently."

Also supporting the connecting of resource providers to resource users is NH International Trade Resource Center, SCORE Counselors to America's Small Business, NH Small Business Development Center, MicroCredit NH, Women's Business Center, NH Stories, Amoskeag Incubator, WREN and Hannah Grimes Marketplace.
