Making Reservations
Once your business signs up for a Travel Award Program, you must use your assigned Frequent Flyer Membership Number and Business ExtrAA number each time business airline travel tickets are booked. Select either of the following links for further instructions if you are making reservations as:
SIGN UP IN 1 OR 2 EASY STEPS
1. Obtain a Frequent Flyer Number (Skip to #2 if you already have a Frequent Flyer No.)
2. Sign-Up for Travel Rewards Program - Enter Referral Code BUZ500 to earn 500 bonus points which is 25% of the way towards your first earned ticket!
Differentiating Between Reward Programs
While many programs offer similar rewards, differentiating benefits to look for when selecting a Travel Reward Program include:
  • The size of the network that the airline offers travel access to
  • Any applicable limitations assigned when using benefits
  • Minimum thresholds before points are granted - American's Business ExtrAA program has no minimum

Redeeming Points
Each Business Travel Rewards Program requires a series of coordinated steps in order to redeem points earned. For the Business ExtrAA Program, the designated company Travel Manager...
  1. Must login to your Travel Account
  2. Login typically requires entering their Airline Membership number and password
  3. Once logged in, a window will appear showing your Travel Reward Program account number, accumulated points for redemption and a list of available award options and point values
  4. Select the award(s) you wish to redeem...
    1. Selected flight awards may be issued as eTickets
    2. Selected passes to Travel Club benefits may be mailed to the designated company address
    3. A Confirmation Number will be generated for the total award transaction entered
    4. Authorization Number(s) will be generated for each flight award redeemed, (each person traveling must have their own Authorization Number per ticket)
    Note: The Confirmation Number and Authorization Numbers are different and must be entered in different areas when the specific flight award(s) are being utilized. Redeeming the award and reserving the flight are two separate steps. Reservations and ticketing can occur up to two hours prior to departure. To make reservations for American Airlines Business ExtrAA flight awards, follow the instructions received on the confirmation email.
