MCBA is a membership-based, non-profit organization of building industry professionals, suppliers and services who volunteer their time to improve the building industry and the quality of the housing for the people of Maine. Activities include promoting education, legislative and regulatory advocacy, student scholarships toward careers in the building profession, and fundraising on behalf of Habitat for Humanity and Make A Wish foundation. MCBA's call to meeting motto is, "the world is run by those who show up."
