The Workforce Opportunity Council is a private non-profit corporation, with a statewide focus, whose mission is to engender a highly responsive workforce development system that makes New Hampshire's businesses the most productive and creates a high standard of living for those they employ, by promoting life-long learning and providing the means for all to gain sufficient skills, education and employment.
Programs include employment and training services for dislocated workers and economically disadvantaged adults provided through http://www.nhworks.org/woc/jobseekers.cfm, for economically disadvantaged youth provided through the NH Department of Education http://www.nhworks.org/woc/support_services.cfm, and customized training services including a matching grant of up to $5,000 for incumbent worker training.
