Created by the Maine State Legislature to acquire, manage and develop the former Loring Air Force Base (now known as the Loring Commerce Center). Loring is contained within 8,700 acres of land, has 3.1 million square feet of facility space and a 12,100-foot long runway capable of handling the world's largest aircraft. The Loring Commerce Center currently had 21 tenants and commitments of 1,300 jobs. The LDA can offer prospective tenants attractive real estate arrangements and access to financing and training programs.
