Focuses on building knowledge of the history, natural history, and culture of the Maine Mountain Region which includes the four western counties of Oxford, Franklin, Somerset, and Piscataquis. This knowledge is used to fuel community and economic development and to focus on the coordination of the Maine Mountain Heritage Network (an association of businesses, non-profits, government entities and interested individuals working together to bring new revenues into the region).
