MARYLAND DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (DBED)
Provides programs, services and information to support all size business development and growth in Maryland. Services include access to information about financing, workforce training, exporting, trade and small and minority business assistance. Activities are focused on attracting new businesses, stimulating private investment, creating jobs, encouraging the expansion and retention of existing companies and providing businesses in Maryland with workforce training and financial assistance. The department promotes the state's many economic advantages including supporting the arts, film production, sports and other special events, as well as markets local products and services at home and abroad to spur development, international trade and tourism.
