A No-Cost, Nonprofit Public Service

BUZGate.org™ is an entrepreneurial education and small business resource community initiative of the Foundation for Entrepreneurial Research and Development (FERAD), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. As a non-commercial, educationally focused public service organized by 50 United States, DC and Puerto Rico...

Government and nonprofit small business assistance agencies participate by:

  1. Posting and maintaining listings of their free and low-cost small business assistance programs,
  2. Linking to BUZGate.org to promote awareness, access and use of these programs, and
  3. Referring to BUZGate.org content to mentor, counsel and train individuals interested in self-employment and small business ownership.

Leading providers of goods and services tailored to small and medium-sized business (SMB) interests participate by:

  1. Underwriting educationally-focused content about their offerings,
  2. Linking to BUZGate.org to promote economic development and growth, and
  3. Referring to BUZGate.org content to inform and support their SMB client's growth.

BUZGate is facilitating over 2.5 million business-to-business transactions each month between entrepreneurs and government, public and private sector solution providers. Content and hosting is sponsored by Knowledge Institute, recognized experts in entrepreneurial education, as well as other government, nonprofit and private sector organizations seeking to support small business start-up, growth and sustainability.

In essence, BUZGate is a one-of-a-kind entrepreneurial education and small business resource community "where all users add value and all users receive value." BUZGate is short for Business Utility Zone Gateway:

Buz Bullet Business because it's all about entrepreneurship;

Buz Bullet Utility because it adds value by promoting awareness, access and use of targeted business development resources;

Buz Bullet Zone because of its one-stop, centralized approach to facilitating networking;

Buz Bullet Gateway because its about connecting in 3-clicks or less to high value business solutions.
