Bill is co-founder and President of Knowledge Institute, specialists in interactive business-to-business communities, business management educational curriculum and marketing communication strategies for public and private business-to-business organizations. He has been recognized by government, Fortune 500 companies and leading economic development agencies for his contributions to small business development and education over the past four decades including being recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as an advocate for economic development and an international expert in small business education.

Throughout his career, Bill as helped millions of small businesses on a global scale serving as consultant, entrepreneur, professor, speaker and author. He has assisted numerous for-profit and non-profit firms in areas of strategic planning, financial management, organizational development, marketing communications and process engineering. In the early 1980's he created a unique model for venture creation that led to the productive start-up of countless new entrepreneurial endeavors.

As entrepreneur himself, Bill managed the successful turnaround and ultimate sale of a manufacturing company, which he grew to industry preeminence on an international scale over a ten-year period, and engineered the conception, launch and ultimate sale of an Internet-based environmental technology firm. He also collaborated with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) in the research and development of a work assessment profiling system to identify gaps and provide training for ensuring the quality and competitiveness of America's workforce.

Bill is a recognized expert in the development of business management systems and methodologies including the Strategic Knowledge Management System™ and the Workforce Knowledgement System. He has written numerous books published in several languages and distributed internationally on topics dealing with managing and financing a business. He is the only author whose work has been adopted and distributed nationally by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as a complete small business management training series. This series is called Common Sense Strategic Management Learning System and it assists entrepreneurs in developing twelve core business management skills and systems.

As past manager of urban affairs at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Bill authored the Business Planning Guide, the New England Business Resource Directory, and developed BIC-NET, a program providing subsidized Business Planning and management support to growing small business ventures. This program later evolved into the SBA's national Business Information Center (BIC) network. As past Director of New Hampshire's Small Business Assistance Center, he took the lead in establishing one of the first Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) in the country and facilitated the launch of New Hampshire's High Tech Council.

He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in entrepreneurship at Northeastern University, University of New Hampshire, Southern New Hampshire University, Boston University, and the College for Lifelong Learning through the University System of New Hampshire, as well as lectured at Babson College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, and New Hampshire Technical College.

Bill holds a Doctorate in Organizational Behavior from Boston University, an MBA from Northeastern University and is a United States veteran.
