A consortium of programs at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Auburn University that offers graduate education in occupational health nursing, industrial hygiene and occupational safety and ergonomics. The Center is dedicated to the protection and promotion of the health and safety of workers in the region. The Center's approach to graduate education is interdisciplinary in nature, developing graduates that are recruited by industry, business and academia and offers short courses in a variety of topics to develop professional skills and knowledge for those practicing in occupational health and safety.
